Sicamous is a young, growing community with a population of approximately 3,100 full time residents. This new official website provides information on municipal government, its programs and services. The District hopes it will be useful as we strive to provide open and accountable government.

2012 Council Meeting Schedule
In compliance with Section 127 of the Community Charter, for the year 2012, Regular Council meetings will be held on the following dates:

January 11, January 25, February 8, February 22, March 14, March 28, April 11, April 25, May 9, May 23, June 13, June 27, July 11, July 25, August 8, August 22, September 12, September 26 (to be cancelled due to the annual 2012 UBCM Convention), October 10, October 24, November 14, November 28 and December 12.

All Regular Council Meetings are scheduled for 7:00 pm in Council Chambers, Sicamous Civic Centre, 446 Main Street, Sicamous, B.C. in compliance with the District's Procedure Bylaw. (Note: Council has requested staff to prepare a re-draft of its Council Procedure Bylaw which will include a change in the meeting time from 7:00 pm to 5:00 pm.)  Committee of the Whole meetings are scheduled at the Call of the Chair and are also held in Council Chambers, 446 Main Street, Sicamous.

Copies of meeting agendas are posted a minimum of two days in advance of the meeting.  Inquiries should be directed to the Interim Chief Administrative Officer, Doug Ruttan, at 250-836-2477.
