| Campfires Prohibited across Kamloops Fire Centre |

| Effective 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 29, 2010, all open burning, including campfires and fireworks, will be prohibited across the Kamloops Fire Centre. Pursuant to District's Outdoor Burning Bylaw, effective the same date, campfires will be prohibited within municipal boundaries. Fireworks were prohibited effective June 9, 2010. |

Sicamous is a young, growing community with a population of approximately 3,100 full time residents. This new official website provides information on municipal government, its programs and services. The District hopes it will be useful as we strive to provide open and accountable government.

Parkview Elementary - Grade 6 Class Miss Tyssen-Ziola's Grade 6 Class from Parkview Elementary submitted many letters and posters detailing wonderful ideas for water conservation and reducing water pollution. Mayor MacLeod and Council wished to share those ideas with the community.
