Planning & Development Committee
This is a repeating event
The Planning & Development Committee, comprised of two Councillors and two members of the community, meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month, to consider development proposals in conjunction with the policies of the Official Community Plan and provide developers an opportunity to receive initial input on development proposals. Planning & Development Committee Agendas are posted Friday the week prior.
Council meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 3:00 p.m. with public sessions beginning at 5:00 p.m. Meetings take place in Council Chambers (446 Main Street). On June 23, 2021, the DOS welcomed back in-person attendance at its meetings following months of restricted in-person attendance due to the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting PHO on Gathering and Events.
As we find ourselves in Phase 3 of B.C's Restart Plan, the District can accommodate the maximum capacity of 50 persons in Council Chambers, physical distancing is no longer required, and masks are recommended, but not mandatory.
Meetings and Public Hearings will continue to be hosted electronically via ZOOM as permitted under Ministerial Order M314 until otherwise announced by the Province of British Columbia. If you wish to join Council Meetings electronically via ZOOM, you can learn more by visiting the Virtual Meetings and Public Hearings page here.
