Get ready for Family Fun Day!
The District of Sicamous and the Sicamous & District Chamber of Commerce are getting ready to host the annual Family Fun Day.
Family Fun Day will be held on August 3, 2024 at the Sicamous Beach Park. Join us for an amazing afternoon of sunshine, friendly competition and community spirit!

Backyard Olympics
Do you think your family can take home gold in our Backyard Olympics? Sign up your family today to take in all the fun! Families will compete in 12 fun games between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The top three families will compete for the coveted gold medal!

Rules:
- Families can consist of a maximum of 6 players (larger families will be asked to make two teams to be fair).
- One adult and one child must compete in each event to score.
- Participants 14 and under will be considered children.
- Participants 15 and older will be considered as adult.
- Families can interchange participants, as long as there is one adult and one child in each event.
- Everyone signed up must participate in a minimum of two events each.
Cardboard Boat Race

Boat Design and Construction
- Boats must be made before the race.
- Boats must be made only of cardboard and duct tape.
- Cardboard cannot be sealed with any sealants.
- Boats may be a maximum width of 5' and a maximum length of 7'.
- There is not a maximum height requirement.
- Boats must be fully enclosed or permit the crew to remain fully on top of the vessel (you are not permitted to have dangling extremities).
- Boats must be propelled using paddles and/or hands.
- If any illegal items used in construction are delivered during the pre- or post-race inspection, the boat will be disqualified.
- Get as creative as you want with the design and decoration of your boat!
Race Format
- Each person will be equipped with a personal floatation device (PFD).
- Teams will start from the beach, go out to the swim boundary and return.
- Swimming and/or pulling the boat will result in disqualification.
- Have fun!
