The Building Inspections Department is responsible for administering permit applications and issuance, conducting inspections in accordance with the the BC Building Code and the District's Building Regulations Bylaw, as well as other applicable laws and regulations to ensure the standards for construction and plumbing are consistent throughout the Province. Through plans review and site inspections, staff ensure that the design and construction of new structures comply with the BC Building Code.

Building Reports
Monthly building reports are presented to council quarterly at committee of the whole meetings. Committee of the whole meetings are generally held every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 1 p.m. in Council Chambers, located at 446 Main Street.
