Community Services is a new department for the District that is responsible for the oversight of many social services offered by the District, such as Recreation & Events and Protective Services.
Recreation is more than sports and the District strives to provide programming that is safe, fun and accessible for all. Some successful programs include dance classes, craft nights, pickleball, swim lessons and the Kids Club program.
Community Events are an opportunity to celebrate and connect as a community. The District plans events throughout the year from Canada Day to Halloween parties to community contests. District employees are encouraged to volunteer as a way to have fun while serving our town.
Protective Services includes the District of Sicamous Fire Department.
