Changes to Downtown Parking

Heads up! Minor changes to downtown parking are coming to Sicamous.

These changes are being made so that residents and visitors can enjoy their visit to our downtown core. Our operations and infrastructure team will be putting up signage and arranging line painting in the coming weeks.

What can you expect?

  • Approximately 22 angled parking stalls on the northwest side of Main Street fronting the new Shuswap Healing Centre.
  • Two-hour parking signage on the southwest side of Main Street.

Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the parking rules in Sicamous. We assure you that these rules are in place to enhance your enjoyment of Main Street and the surrounding area!

Parking infractions are enforced by District of Sicamous Traffic Bylaw No. 788, 2011. As per the bylaw, parking contrary to signage will result in a $100 fine. This bylaw regulates activities on municipal roadways for the protection of public safety and to ensure that traffic flow is maintained in the community. Did you know Sicamous has a Traffic Bylaw?
