District of Sicamous tax rates are set for 2025! The municipal property tax increase for 2025 is 4.17 per cent. If your home is valued at the District of Sicamous average of $556,716, your municipal taxes will cost you an additional $62 this year.

The 2025 property tax notice and insert includes information on payment options, tax bill savings and a tax breakdown. Check it out!

Did you know that 40 per cent of taxes collected by the district are for other taxing authorities? Taxes are collected for the Columbia Shuswap Regional District, North Okanagan Columbia Shuswap Hospital District, Okanagan Regional Library and the Province of British Columbia.

While considering your property taxes, don't forget to apply for the provincial Home Owner Grant! The deadline to apply is July 2, 2025. Apply now!

Property tax bills are on their way to your mailbox. If you have not received your mailed notice by May 26, please contact Municipal Hall. Make sure to plan your payment to be received on or before July 2, 2025. Late payments and grants will receive a 10 per cent penalty!

Important note for those planning to mail in their payments: A Canada Post labour disruption could happen as early as May 22. If a payment is not received at the District of Sicamous office by July 2, it will be deemed late and subject to a 10 per cent penalty. Postmark dates are not accepted. It is highly recommended that tax payers avoid sending payment via Canada Post and use an alternative payment method. If mailing via Canada Post, please ensure your cheque clears your bank before the due date.
