The District of Sicamous will offer two one-day courses on April 27 and 28, 2024 for those interested in applying for their non-restricted possession and acquisition licence (PAL).
- Date: April 27 & 28, 2024
- Time: 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Location: Council Chambers (446 Main Street)
- Cost: $225 per person
- Ages: 12+
Register by April 19, 2024!
Led by two certified PAL instructors and coaches, this course will teach you everything you need to know to apply for your Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL). Certification and documentation will be provided once you complete the course.
This course is for those interested in buying, borrowing or inheriting rifles and shotguns. The classes are taught with a detailed PowerPoint presentation, demonstrations, videos and hands-on instruction. Class sizes are limited to 12 students per class to allow for more individualized instruction for maximized learning.
Plan ahead so that you will be ready: there is no such thing as an interim licence. You must wait for your official PAL from the government before you can acquire a firearm.
Minors as young as 12 can take the course and receive a Minors Permit.
All materials will be supplied. Full payment is required to book your spot in the course. A minimum of 10 participants are required for the course to proceed.
