Public Hearing: Reconsideration of Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1044

A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 5 p.m. at the Sicamous & District Seniors Centre (1091 Shuswap Avenue) to reconsider Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1044, 2024. 

Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1044 proposes to:

  • Change the zoning of three rail trail properties within the district boundary from R-1 One and Two Unit Residential to P-3 Park – General;
  • Update the CR Country Residential, MUR-2 Seasonal Accommodation and RVP-3 Recreational Vehicle Park 3 zones;
  • Rezone 524 Dabell Street from P-1 Civic & Recreational to P-2 Works and Services;
  • Rezone 717 Trans-Canada Highway Frontage from C-2 Highway Commercial to R-1;
  • Rezone 913 Rauma Crescent from R-1 to MUR-1 Multi-Unit Residential; and
  • Correct general language and formatting errors.

The draft amendment bylaw may also be viewed at Municipal Hall during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays).

If you believe that your interest in property is affected, you will have the opportunity to be heard at the hearing or to submit written comments respecting the temporary use permit.

The public is encouraged to submit their comments in writing before the meeting. All comments received by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, will be provided to council. Please note that council is not permitted to receive submissions after the close of the public hearing. The District of Sicamous assumes no responsibility for correspondence not received by the District before the public hearing.
