Changes have been made to Water Regulations in Sicamous. Regulations, Rental & Connection Charge Amending Bylaw No. 1023, 2022 was taken to Council for First, Second and Third Reading on July 13th and was adopted at the July 27th meeting.

The new regulations include Water Restriction Phases (1-4) aimed to conserve water and protect the District’s water infrastructure. Stage 1 Water Restrictions will be in effect annually from May 1 until September 30 unless a higher stage is issued by the Operations Manager to protect our systems and community.

Stage 1 follows current regulations with even-numbered civic addresses watering on even-numbered days and odd-numbered civic addresses watering on odd-numbered days. However, there will no longer be scheduled hours for watering.

Water Use Restrictions do not apply to Agriculture, Fire Use Protection, Sports Fields, Cemeteries and Spray Parks.
