Meet Alison Lemire, Executive Assistant

The District of Sicamous welcomed Alison Lemire to the corporate services team at the start of this year. As executive assistant, Alison provides administrative support to senior leadership and council, helping keep leaders organized.

Alison is an experienced administrative professional with a background in both local government and education. For more than 20 years, she has gravitated toward roles within community-based organizations, where she thrives on supporting strong leadership and effective governance.

“I love being involved in work that supports community,” Alison shares. “Over the last 10 years, I have supported various levels of organizational governance ensuring leaders are supported and equipped to excel in their roles.”

Known for her organizational skills and forward-thinking approach, Alison enjoys keeping teams prepared for what comes next. Since stepping into her role, she has already embraced the world of council agendas and minutes.

“I love working in positions that support community. What better way to do that than working for the District!” Alison said when asked what inspired her to apply for the position. “I’m excited to work with a team that is passionate about the community and committed to excellence, transparency and accountability.”

Outside of work, Alison enjoys lake life, boating and wing night at the Sicamous Legion. She loves travelling, meeting new people, trying new foods and beverages and spending time with her family and friends.
