It's BC Heritage Week! From February 16 to 22, communities across British Columbia will celebrate heritage, community and culture. Take some time to explore the heritage of this wonderful place we call home.

Sicamous Heritage Register

Did you know that we have a Heritage Register? The Province of British Columbia has also confirmed that six heritage sites from Sicamous are a part of the BC Register of Historic Places.

  • The Red Barn (1926 - turning 100 this year!)
  • Bruhn House & Office (1922)
  • Eagle Valley Schoolhouse (1921)
  • Rauma Finnish Sauna (1935)
  • Wreck of the SS Whitesmith (1930-1935)

Sicamous Heritage Walking Tour

In 2025, the Sicamous & District Chamber of Commerce established the Sicamous Heritage Walking Tour. Residents and visitors can now stroll around the community and learn about the rich history of Sicamous. Complete with QR codes, audio narration and a collection of historical and contemporary images, this is a rich an immersive experience that connects the past and present. Sicamous & District Museum & Historical Society

The Sicamous Museum is a non-profit society dedicated to collecting, documenting and preserving the history of Sicamous and the surrounding area. Free to explore, the museum is located at 446 Main Street. They also offer school and group tours guided by a museum member (when booked in advance).
