We are looking for a member of the community to join the planning and development committee!
The planning and development committee considers new development proposals and offers local perspectives on development trends, opportunities and challenges in the district to potential developers. The committee considers the policies of the Official Community Plan and acts in an advisory capacity to council.
Composed of two members of council and two members of the community at large, the planning and development committee meets at 9 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. Committee members are appointed for a term of two years, with the possibility of reappointment at the mayor's discretion.
The successful applicant will join the committee in January 2026.
