Spring has arrived in Sicamous, and with it comes the annual tradition of clearing out the old and making space for the season ahead.

The District of Sicamous will offer a free two-day curbside waste pickup event to provide residents with an opportunity to clean up their yards and dispose of unwanted items. No household garbage, please! Items should be placed at the end of your driveway by 7 a.m. for curbside pickup.

Monday, May 4, 2026: Metal Materials

• Disposal of white goods only such as hot water tanks, stoves, washers, dryers, fridges and freezers.
• No auto bodies/parts, toxic waste, batteries, commercial/household waste will be accepted.

Tuesday, May 5, 2026: Organic Yard Waste

• Disposal of grass clippings, leaves, pruning and weeds.
• Put organic waste in clear garbage bags.
