The District of Sicamous does not have a bylaw that regulates tree removal on private property. This means that residents do not need a permit to remove a tree located on their own property.

However, if a tree is located on municipal property, the District of Sicamous must be contacted to ensure that public assets are managed safely and appropriately. If you are unsure whether a tree is located on private or municipal property, please contact us for clarification.
