As we enter wildfire season, the Sicamous FireSmart Crew is here to support our community in wildfire prevention and education throughout the summer. This summer, FireSmart Coordinator Travis and Crew members Kaily, Andrei, and Shane have been conducting fire assessments and attending pop-up booths in the community to share information and make our community FireSmart!

FireSmart BC is a provincial program focused on wildfire resiliency by empowering residents to take effective steps in reducing risk to properties, communities, and surrounding forests. It's crucial that we plan ahead and take proactive steps to reduce wildfire risks and impacts on properties.

All residents are eligible for a free FireSmart Property Assessment. Our FireSmart Coordinator and crew can provide practical advice to help you understand your property's wildfire risks and how to reduce them.
