The District of Sicamous now has three pre-reviewed secondary dwelling plans available to residents. McDiarmid Construction Ltd. collaborated with the community and District of Sicamous staff to create pre-reviewed designs that the public may choose to build.

Designed to reduce the review timeline when building a secondary dwelling unit, the easy-to-use designs were chosen by the community during public engagement in 2023 and 2024. Having undergone extensive planning and building department review, they are now operational and available for purchase. Plans are available to residents at-cost, plus provincial sales tax, for a total of $1,050.
