During the winter and spring seasons, local traffic will be permitted to Old Spallumcheen Road and Old Sicamous Road every hour on the hour between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
These parameters are outlined on the R.W. Bruhn Bridge & Approaches Project webpage. Last year, the project team was able to provide more frequent access during full closures; however, this year’s significant rock work means additional access will not be possible.
When conditions allow, the project team will facilitate opportunities for more access. Emergency service protocols established at the beginning of the project remain in effect. The Ministry of Transportation & Transit has confirmed there are no alternative options due to safety requirements.
The Ministry provides regular project updates and will share more details about the duration of the rock work as information becomes available.
