May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month across Canada. On May 3, 2023, the Sicamous roundabout will be lit green to raise awareness about Lyme Disease, which is the most common and fastest-growing vector-borne infection in Canada and the United States.

Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases are preventable through awareness and taking proper precautions. Information on prevention, safe tick removal and transmission is available at the BC Lyme website: https://www.bclyme.com/

BC Lyme is an informal support group attended by Lyme sufferers all across the province. Attendance is free and open to all, including family and friends of those suffering from Lyme disease. The group invites prominent guest speakers and shares current information on all aspects of Lyme disease.
