The Sicamous Community Health Centre is hiring a medical office assistant!
At the Sicamous Community Health Centre, the team is dedicated to providing accessible, patient-centred care to the community. Medical office assistants play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for patients.
This is a permanent, part-time (unionized) role with the District of Sicamous. Medical office assistants provide confidential administrative and clinical support, including:
- Reception services
- Scheduling practitioner appointments and appointments with other health care professionals
- Facilitating billing
- Screening patients
- Assisting patients under direction
- Assist physicians with routing clinical tasks
If you have an MOA Certificate or equivalent education and experience in a physician's office, community medical clinic or hospital clerical unit, this may be the perfect role for you. Learn more about this opportunity:
