Say hello to District of Sicamous accountant Anne-Marie Koop, who handles everything from payroll and property taxes to utility billing, online services registration and more. If residents ever need a copy of a bill or help going paperless, she’s the go-to!

Anne-Marie joined the District of Sicamous team in January of 2023. When asked what she enjoys most about her work, she doesn’t hesitate: “My co-workers and the community.”

In addition to her stellar accounting skills, Anne-Marie has a diploma in equine science and her first profession was as a horse trainer. Fun fact – this is actually her fifth career!

Why choose between spreadsheets and sheet music when you can have both? Anne-Marie brings her love of learning and rhythm into her personal life, too, playing the flute, saxophone and oboe in the Salmon Arm Community Band.

• Her favourite thing about Sicamous? The peaceful, rural feel.
• Her beverage of choice? Tea over coffee, always.
• Favourite colour? Periwinkle!
