Earlier this year, the District of Sicamous welcomed Nathan to the utility team!
Nathan brings experience in the water and wastewater industry to his role as utility operator in training. Having grown up in his family’s water and wastewater business and working alongside municipalities across British Columbia, Nathan is no stranger to the demands and rewards of this essential work.
“I have a strong passion for the industry and for providing for my community,” shares Nathan. “Being able to do what I love while being part of a great team is really exciting.”
In his role, Nathan works as part of the operations team to support the day-to-day maintenance of Sicamous’ water treatment and distribution systems, wastewater treatment and collection and other key infrastructure. Whether operating equipment, tackling repairs or helping maintain the systems that keep our community running, Nathen’s role is vital to the health, safety and sustainability of Sicamous.
Outside of work, Nathan has a passion for emergency response and is a paid on-call firefighter in Enderby. He also enjoys fishing and spending time outdoors (especially when it means getting a little muddy).
“I’m really happy to be here and to become a part of a great community and team,” he says.
Welcome to the team, Nathan! The District of Sicamous is glad to have you on the crew.
