Mosquito Reduction Management Plan Complete for 2026 to 2031

An updated Mosquito Reduction Management Plan is now complete for 2026 to 2031. Adult mosquitos are a source of annoyance, and some are capable of transmitting diseases to both humans and domestic animals.

High mosquito populations can negatively impact outdoor worker performance, tourism and other activities. The District of Sicamous' primary objective is to minimize the annoyance caused by large populations of adult mosquitos.

The Pest Management Plan (PMP) is a strategic management tool that allows for effective prevention and control of larval mosquitoes by the District of Sicamous including all public and private lands by permission of the applicable owner, agent or authority.
