The pre-reviewed plan library was created to help reduce the review timeline and provide residents with access to cost-effective building plans.
Each plan has already gone through extensive planning and building department review, making the designs easier to use for residents who are ready to move forward with a secondary dwelling project. The plans are available for purchase at-cost, plus provincial sales tax, for a total of $1,050.
McDiarmid Construction Ltd. worked with the community and District of Sicamous staff to develop the designs, which were selected through public engagement in 2023 and 2024.
Please note that residents are not required to use the District’s pre-reviewed designs to build a secondary dwelling unit. The plan library is simply an optional resource that can help save time and money when investing in your property.
