In accordance with Section 467 of the Local Government Act, the District of Sicamous hereby gives notice that no public hearing will be held for Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1069, 2024 in relation to the property legally described as:

LOT C DISTRICT LOT 452 KAMLOOPS DIVISION YALE DISTRICT PLAN EPP130290 (425 Main Street).

Zoning Amendment Bylaw No.1069, 2024, which supports the development of 54 long-term rental housing units and 3,900 square feet of commercial space, proposes to:

  • Address the split zoning by rezoning the property from C-1 Town Centre Commercial and MUR-1 Multi-Unit Residential to C-1 Town Centre Commercial; and
  • Add a site-specific regulation to permit garage and storage units.

The proposed Bylaw is consistent with Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 918, 2016 which designates 425 Main Street as Town Centre within the Town Centre Development Permit Area and its main purpose is to permit a residential development. For these reasons, the district must not hold a public hearing under Section 464(3) of the Local Government Act.
