Here's a May Long Weekend R.W. Bruhn Bridge update! Please continue to slow down, travel with care and keep outside of the project limits when accessing the Shuswap North Okanagan Rail Trail and the Sicamous Beach Park. Short-term pain for long-term gain, and some serious progress being made!
- Highway 1 will be open from noon on Friday, May 15 until noon on Tuesday, May 19 for the long weekend.
- Pedestrian access to the Beach Park via the walkway under the bridge will open for the season on Friday, May 15 at noon.
- There are no scheduled closures of the Sicamous Narrows until late fall of 2026. Short term holds (10 minutes) may take place during working hours.
- DriveBC remains the best palace to go for real-time updates on closures and traffic impacts.
