June 10, 2026 Update:
Here is an update on R.W. Bruhn Bridge construction impacts as we head into the summer months.
Daytime full closures are almost behind us for the season, Sicamous. Thank you for your patience as this important project continues. While the short-term impacts can be painful, this work will support long-term improvements to transportation infrastructure in our community.
- There are no daytime full closures scheduled from June 15 to September 15, 2026. Drivers should still expect single-lane alternating traffic in the late evening and overnight hours. Please refer to the three-week look-ahead schedule for details.
- Pedestrian access to Sicamous Beach Park via the walkway under the bridge is open. Minor interruptions may take place during working hours while deck panel placement is completed. This work is expected to be complete by mid-June.
- There are no scheduled closures of the Sicamous Narrows until late fall 2026. Short-term holds of up to 10 minutes may take place during working hours, if necessary.
