On November 13, 2025, the District of Sicamous welcomed residents, guests, health partners and representatives to celebrate the Sicamous Health Centre. Thank you to all those who joined us in marking the occasion.
"When we imagined this space, we imagined a place where physical, emotional and cultural well-being come together - where people feel cared for, supported and connected," said Mayor Colleen Anderson.
The health centre, which opened in July 2025, now serves residents with three primary care professionals, physiotherapy, massage, acupuncture, hearing, perinatal and lactation services. In addition. community support programming is offered through local partners.
The celebration was held within the 3,200 square feet of community space affectionately named "The Lakes." The space is rentable to the community and already booked and bustling with local gatherings and wellness programs.
"The Sicamous Health Centre reflects who we are - a caring connected community that looks after one another," said Mayor Anderson in closing. "This is a major step forward for health and wellness in Sicamous, and we're excited to see the difference it will make in the lives of the people we serve."
