The District of Sicamous, the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) and the Shuswap Emergency Program are pleased to invite residents and families from across the region to the Sicamous Safety Fair on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sicamous & District Recreation Centre (1121 Eagle Pass Way). Admission is free, and the event is open to all ages.
“Sicamous is proud to host the safety fair this year,” says Sicamous Fire Rescue Chief Clayton Allen. “This is a great opportunity for residents and guests to come together, learn some essential safety skills and meet the people and services that help keep everyone safe.”
The Safety Fair is a fun-filled, hands-on community event designed to connect residents with the emergency services and volunteer organizations that keep Sicamous and the surrounding Shuswap region safe. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet first responders, explore equipment demonstrations and build the knowledge and confidence needed to be prepared for emergencies at home and in the community.
“Stop by our mobile operations truck and emergency support services display and meet your Shuswap Emergency Program coordinators and volunteers," says Tom Hansen, emergency program coordinator with the CSRD. "Ask questions and learn more about emergency preparedness in the Shuswap.”

The number of agencies participating reflects the strength of the regional safety network and the commitment of the many volunteers and professionals who dedicate themselves to protecting life and property across the Shuswap.
