Statement from Mayor Anderson
Council is saddened by the tragedy of Saturday’s shooting.
The Southeast District Major Crime Unit reports that the shooting was an isolated, targeted incident and there is no ongoing risk to the public.
You may notice increased police presence in the community as the Major Crime Unit investigates this incident.

We never expected something like this could happen in our community! Sadly, it seems we hear about it happening somewhere every day.
The District of Sicamous works closely with the Sicamous RCMP Detachment and Sergeant Murray McNeil gives regular updates to council.
