Street Sweeping

Did you that our crew sweeps and polishes all 89 lane kilometres of roadways in Sicamous? Our new street sweeper (purchased in 2024) is hitting the streets to clear winter sand and debris. As of April 15, 2025, street sweeping is 80 per cent complete!

Ball Field Maintenance

The District of Sicamous is glad to have such an eager ball community - and we’re doing our best to have the fields ready for play as soon as weather permits. Ball fields were mowed this week and diamond grooming begins today!

Flower Arrangements

We’ve heard people rave about our summer floral arrangements, which couldn’t be achieved without the hard work of our talented gardener, who is currently prepping beds, and our partnership with Sicamous Communities in Bloom. Flower planting will begin the week before May long weekend.

Watermain Flushing

Watermain flushing serves to clean water distribution pipes of sediments and improve water quality in our municipality. You may notice periodic low water pressure and slight water discolouration. Please note that discolouration is not a hazard to health - just run cold water for a few minutes! The watermain flushing process will be ongoing over the next few weeks.

Daisy the Bear

In the fall, our beloved Daisy the Bear went into hibernation to avoid construction at her Main Street home. We want to assure you that Daisy is safe and well, and that we are planning her return to a community space sometime soon.
