Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction Activity Begins in the Northwest Quadrant of the Sicamous Dog Park

The District of Sicamous is completing large-scale maintenance and construction work at the Wastewater Treatment Plant to help manage peak summer wastewater flows, expand facility capacity and maintain existing infrastructure. Completion of this project is anticipated for mid-July.

To support this work, the northwest quadrant of the Sicamous Dog Park will be fenced off during construction to help keep residents and their four-legged friends safe. Crews will also work to maintain safe passage to the Eagle River Paddle Launch throughout the construction window.

The project includes:

  • Construction of one new rapid infiltration basin in the northwest corner of the Sicamous Dog Park
  • Full rehabilitation of two existing basins that are currently underperforming due to age

We appreciate your patience and cooperation while this important infrastructure work is completed.
