Last month, the District of Sicamous welcomed Hollie Craven-Hughes to the team as our receptionist!

As the first point of contact for the public, Hollie plays an important role in providing courteous, accurate and efficient services to residents, visitors and stakeholders, while ensuring inquiries are appropriately received, screened and directed. 

Hollie has a strong background in customer service and people management, entering her new role after working as the branch manager for HUB International in Sicamous.

"I’m excited to connect with community members and become more involved in the day-to-day happenings of our town," Hollie says. "I’m also eager to join a new team, build strong working relationships and contribute my skills in a meaningful way."

Something you may not know about Hollie: she grew up in Australia before moving to Canada 10 years ago! She joined the Sicamous community in 2021.

Outside of work, Hollie enjoys reading, going on walks and runs with her dog and cooking. You may recognize her at local markets, where she runs her own charcuterie business!
