Pursuant to Development Procedures Bylaw No. 639, 2006 District of Sicamous Council receives public comments prior to their consideration of Development Permits, Development Variance Permits, Temporary Use Permits, and Official Community Plan and Zoning bylaw amendments. Notifications are mailed to all property owners of land within a 50 m radius of the subject property.
Due to the wildfire and consequential evacuation alert and order, all non-urgent agenda items have been moved to the August 11, 2021 Regular Meeting of Council.
How to Provide Input
Input on a particular development proposal can be provided to Council in a number of ways. These include:
- In writing
- In person
- Via online attendance
Written submissions can be provided in person at the District Offices, via mail, email or web form.

For Bylaw amendments or for temporary use permits where a hearing is being held, comments may be verbally provided, in person, by attending the hearing in Council Chambers. Please note that attendance in person is subject to the Orders of the Provincial Health Officer.

Via Online Attendance
For Bylaw amendments or for temporary use permits where a hearing is being held, comments may be verbally provided, online, by attending the Council meeting via ZOOM as permitted under Ministerial Order M314 until otherwise announced by the Province of British Columbia.
