Public Hearing Not Held: Zoning Bylaw No. 1100, 2024 (Zoning Bylaw)

In accordance with Section 467 of the Local Government Act, the District of Sicamous hereby gives notice that no public hearing will be held for Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1100, 2024.

Be advised that council is not required to hold a public hearing under section 464 (2) of the Local Government Act if an official community plan is in effect for the area and the bylaw is consistent with the official community plan. This public notice that a public hearing is waived is required prior to the first reading of Zoning Bylaw No. 1100, 2024.

The intent of Zoning Bylaw No. 1100, 2024 is to address a procedural error in the adoption of Zoning Bylaw 1000, 2022 by rescinding and replacing District of Sicamous Zoning Bylaw 1000, 2022 with Zoning Bylaw 1100, 2024, impacting the lands within the zoning jurisdiction of the District of Sicamous.

First, second and third reading of Zoning Bylaw No. 1100, 2024 will be considered by council at the August 14, 2024, regular council meeting starting at 5 p.m. in council chambers.
